Welcome to the Camp Sears, Korea photo album. Camp Sears has had a long history with the Second Infantry Division in Korea. The camp was originally named for Sgt. 1st Class Jerome Sears, a Korean War Silver Star recipient. Camp Sears was officially vacated by HHB/5-5 ADA on October 14, 2005 which had occuppied the camp since 1998. Currently USFK plans on handing over the camp in 2006 to the city of Uijongbu to turn into an administrative center.

The unit was G Co. 702nd Maint Bn., 2nd Inf Div when I was there from Nov 77-78.

was there in 2001-2002- pulled gate duty for a month straight after 9/11, was a 14j20. hated that place but loved the food!

Was there the same time.. got there 2 weeks before 9/11.. wayyyy too much gate guard but plenty of good memories at the gazebo, the quansit hut, Tomsville and the Option downtown.. of course I would say the thunder runs at stanleyville.. but I dont remember much.
